11. REHABILITATION OF CYCLONE AFFECTED COMMUNITIES THROUGH PARTNER CBOS OF KETI BUNDER

This project is being implemented by Bahar CBO with the financial support of Partnership Fund at coastal area of Keti Bunder district Thatta. The project aims at rehabilitating the cyclone affected coastal communities of Keti Bunder through varied efforts based on livelihood development and sustenance of natural resources. The specific objectives are

(i) formulating a strategy and action plan to rehabilitate communities and to recover from the loss caused by the cyclone and

(ii) i mplementing strategy and action plan for rehabilitation of cyclone affected communities and improve the access to good quality drinking water, health and hygiene conditions.

Key achievements:

9000 community members are rehabilitated through the interventions of project; around 2000 people are sensitized and aware about the sustainable use of natural resources and socio-economic conditions of communities have improved by proving alternative methods of livelihood.
