International Biodiversity Day

Islamabad - International Biodiversity Day 22nd May, 2012 was celebrated in Quaid-e- Azam University Islamabad. Department of Environmental and Plant sciences of Quaid-e- Azam University, Pakistan Wetlands Programme and Marketing Dept. of WWF-Pakistan jointly organized the event. WWF Panda products were on the display and lot of students and teachers bought these products. Posters and models regarding the biodiversity conservation disseminated among the students of Masters, M.Phil and PhD to create awareness about biodiversity conservation. Advocacy walk was conducted in the campus. Ornithologist and wetlands biologist of PWP Jamshed Chaudhry briefed the students about the programme and answered the questions of the students.
Dr Riffat Naseem Malik Chairperson of the department of Environmental Sciences and Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Assistant Professor of Department of Plant Sciences appreciated the efforts of the students and WWF-Pakistan.
