Indus Ecoregion Programme

Identified amongst the 40 most biologically rich ecoregions in the world, the Indus Ecoregion covers approximately 65% of the province of Sindh and occupies 18 districts of Sindh while a small northwestern part of the ecoregion extends slightly into Balochistan				The Indus Ecoregion Programme is an ambitious long-term (2006-2056) initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature – Pakistan (WWF-P) and the Government of Sindh that will address poverty and natural resource degradation in the Indus Ecoregion.
