A meeting of the district coordination committee was held in Thatta and presided over by DCO Mr. Jaffer Abbasi.The meeting was attended by EDOs of different departments, members of national and local NGOs and representatives of local communities.
The Indus for All Programme’s Programme Implementation Units (PIUs), Keenjhar Lake and Keti Bunder, briefed the meeting about progress regarding completed and ongoing projects for the period from May 2010 to December 2010.
During the meeting progress on natural resource management (NRM) plans and livelihood development plans (LDPs) was also shared with the DCO.
The DCO Mr. Jaffer Abbasi appreciated the efforts of the Programme team and their achievements.He also instructed fisheries, forests and other departments for extending their support to field activities being carried out by the Programme team in Thatta and Keti Bunder.Meanwhile, members of other NGOs also briefed the DCO Thatta about a different programmes and activities in the district.
