Small support long term impact

Since 1986, the Small Grants Programme (SGP) has been supporting the grassroot level organizations and researchers to strengthen efforts to conserve threatened and endangered species and high priority ecological areas covering forests, freshwater and marine ecosystems and to reduce the impact of human activities on the ecosystem.
Under this Programme more than 400 projects have been successfully completed SGP has been supporting innovative conservation initiatives for priority species such as marine turtles, snow leopard, Indus dolphin, sharks etc and critical ecosystems for example mangroves forests, Indus River, coniferous forests etc. Several postgraduate research studies have been supported by SGP.

SGP Objectives

  • Address environmental issues by providing technical and financial support in order to build the capacity of small grass root level organizations
  • Empower communities
  • Promote environmental research by strengthening academic, governmental and research based institution

    The SGP proposal form can be downloaded from this page. The applicant organisations can apply to the SGP through email or post by sending the project proposal to the following address. Community organisations can submit their proposals in Urdu.

     
    Applications for SGP are considered quarterly throughout the year. Deadlines for application submission for 2013 are:

    7th March, 2013

    5th June, 2013

    6th August, 2013

    15th November, 2013
